Julian Safir, MD, is a board-certified radiologist with over 27 years of experience.

Dr. Safir received his Doctor of Medicine from the University Of Maryland. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center and his fellowship in MRI at New York University Medical Center.

Dr. Safir is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Dr. Safir was inspired to enter the specialty of radiology while in college at Duke University, where he majored in biomedical engineering. His research publications and presentations have focused on breast MRI for cancer detection.

Dr. Safir is widely recognized as an expert in breast MRI. He is excited to bring that expertise to NY Breast Imaging.
