Prioritizing Your Breast Health During the Holidays
When the holiday season rolls in, your priorities shift.
Your head becomes wrapped around finding the perfect present or ensuring grandma's sweet potato casserole recipe is made just right for Christmas Eve. Regardless of your mind, it is always important to remember to take care of your body. Breast health is something that may also be found on the back burner during the holiday season. There are easy ways to make your holiday season the best it can be by enjoying all the holidays have to offer and making sure you are taking care of yourself in the best way possible.
Eat well
The holiday season is a very food-driven time during the year. Making sure you are eating the right thing can be harder than at any other time during the year. When making your plate this holiday season, include fruits and vegetables in your meals.
Stay active
When other things take over your plate, exercising no longer takes priority. Exercising over the holidays doesn’t seem like something to put you in the holiday spirit, but exercising can help your immune system stay strong. Try spicing up your exercise routine by signing up for a turkey trot or ice skating!
Limit drinking
Sometimes the holidays can feel like they are centered around alcohol. So this holiday season, change it up by not picking up alcohol. Instead, swap it out for a mocktail or sparkling apple cider!
Prioritize sleep
With so much going on, sometimes tuning out the noise to sleep can be difficult. However, by ensuring you sleep eight hours a night, you prioritize your health during the holidays! Try counting reindeer to fall asleep faster. This extra sleep will allow you to prioritize your health and get more done during the day.
